skierjj Posted May 20, 2018 Author #279 Share Posted May 20, 2018 We called it an early night and went to bed. We had a time change and lost an hour. I don’t know what time to go by now as my Apple Watch, phone and ships time are all different! Mike at least fixed my phone time. I have been looking for another laundry bag day but it hasn’t happened yet. I take 3 showers a day every day it seems like. With pool, spa , working out etc. I’m running out of clothes! So I’ve had to wash in the sink and hang out on our warm balcony to dry. Works pretty well. I also bought a couple of shirts from store, one is hand made in Panama. Champster Posted May 20, 2018 #282 Share Posted May 20, 2018 Sea captain: Signing the anti prohibition petition. Look for funny names: Sent from my iPhone using Forums I’m curious. I don’t drink alcohol at all so would the price be the same price for me if I won’t be indulging?
skierjj Posted May 20, 2018 Author #283 Share Posted May 20, 2018 Yes $23.94 includes gratuity. It is a fun show but it includes alcohol. Show itself is almost worth it. The drinks made it more fun. They must have virgin drinks for those who need this but I don’t know. I would recommend bringing your own drink in. skierjj Posted May 20, 2018 Author #284 Share Posted May 20, 2018 (edited) Today we have race cars at 11:00, los lobos at 6:00 and levity at 10:00. We got a glimpse of dolphins playing from our room, no pics. We were near Zihautaneo, Mexico. First breakfast at Haven, so pretty. May was our server. She is married to bartender Yad-z, one of our favorite bartenders. She is great! They have 3 kids ages 4-10. Her Mom watches kids in Philippines. They went out on a date last night at Cagney’s to celebrate May’s birthday. I’ll have to get a picture of them soon! I worked out. 2 miles (walking) on jogging path. Ok we went up to race cars. What fun! Why did we wait so long to try this out? Well to be honest, it’s because of unlimited beverages. No alcohol allowed before driving. We guess they check your card. No pics of this because this was our first time. Here is the pic from earlier this cruise: Ok so you get the safety briefing, they give you a clean bonnet like a nylon ski mask hoodie thing. Next they give you your car number. You get in your race car, it is a tight squeeze. You buckle yourself in before you put on your helmet. You put on your glasses after you put on your helmet. Close your visor. Everyone in your group needs to be ready before they start you off. Accelerate right foot/pedal, brake with left foot/peddle. You wait maybe 4 minutes before they let you go. Green light! Go! Pedal to the metal baby! These are real race carts and they go! Recommend: try to get in front if you can do you don’t have to go around slow people. Wow! So much fun! I passed 3 people and I finally caught up to Mike, I wanted to pass him so bad! But the race ended. I forgot that the cart had a brake and ran into the back of Mikes cart! A no no. Oops Casino fun and drinks. Lunch was bar food at Haven bar: I had swordfish sandwich, Mike had chicken wrap. Both came with fries. They are very skimpy on their ketchup. I went through the ketchup in about 5 fries. I asked for 3 more ketchups. I guess it’s an American thing. (I would have been happy with mustard and or ranch too). It was perfectly cooked and excellent. Sent from my iPhone using Forums Edited May 20, 2018 by skierjj
skierjj Posted May 20, 2018 Author #285 Share Posted May 20, 2018 I got a mojito to go from Amir. Found Mike in casino. It’s just too pretty to be inside. I had chocolate Cowboy make me a spicy passion. And then about 1 hour later. I had the cucumber jalapeño Just watching the water from deck 8. Smooth sailing today and flat water. Beautiful! Warm 80 degrees and not very humid at all. Stairs from casino to waterfront with chandelier/light feature. skierjj Posted May 21, 2018 Author #289 Share Posted May 21, 2018 Los Lobos for dinner: Come with a big appetite. I had spicy margarita, mike had special margarita. Then he ran down to casino, he gets premium drinks for being sapphire. He ordered patron anejo. We ordered table side guacamole. Our guacamole maker was Absolum. TravelFarTravelOften Posted May 21, 2018 #291 Share Posted May 21, 2018 Thanks for the great review! I'm awaiting my July sailing not so patiently!! There have been rumors (and even a couple pictures) over on "that other site" talking about a six hole mini golf course being constructed currently, but my TA's contact at NCL says that is a myth. Can you confirm or deny? Supposedly it is somewhere near the race track?

We have an early morning sport fishing excursion in Mazatlan today, I’ll try to check it out later this afternoon.
skierjj Posted May 22, 2018 Author #293 Share Posted May 22, 2018 Los lobos continued: Empanadas: Chicken Enchiladas with Mole sauce. Mole was excellent: Chicken burrito (giant, it came “wet”. It was huge but only had chicken in it). We had Mexican corn and tamales as sides: The corn was excellent. Tamales were good but not as juicy as empanadas as expected. skierjj Posted May 22, 2018 Author #294 Share Posted May 22, 2018 I had only the Mexican coffee This day was all about waterfront on deck 8. We walked around deck 8 a few times after dinner, because we were stuffed! Sun was setting with pretty rays. Now on to Levity headliner Mark ?. He was very funny. skierjj Posted May 22, 2018 Author #295 Share Posted May 22, 2018 Next we went to Q to watch and dance to siglo band play 50s and 60s music. It was fun. A lot of the NCL people were out there dancing with passengers. We made our own dance place by the bar. One problem for me were these very awkward bar stools to get up to and sit on them. It wasn’t just me. Other ladies were having difficulty getting a leg up to sit on them. I saw one husband literally picking up his wife to hoist her on the bar stool. Anyway we weren’t on these seats much as we danced a lot. Good night. Tomorrow is Puerto Vallarta day. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

skierjj Posted May 22, 2018 Author #297 Share Posted May 22, 2018 Mariachi band playing: We had an 8:00 meeting time for las calitas hideaway, along with many hundreds )seemed like) of people. We got in a long line on the pier area. We walked about 1/4 mile to waiting large catamarans. There were 2 catamarans. Actually we can’t figure out where the first catamaran to leave went because our boat arrived first to las calitas Sent from my iPhone using Forums
skierjj Posted May 22, 2018 Author #298 Share Posted May 22, 2018 Here was a good opportunity to get pics of Bliss and to show you the catamaran. We sat up top. Nathan was our “cruise director” Juan Carlos was our captain. There were many crew members. They served breakfast on board (but we had gotten room service from our Butler Kelly in the morning). Besides it was quite difficult to walk while the ship was under way. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Scuba, massages, personal new snorkeling tube for $6. We bought the snorkel tubes. They also provide entertainment. Music and a wonderful Mexican singer.
