Seward to Anchorage itinerary

Hi there

We are getting off of the Celebrity Millennium in Seward, then renting a car and taking our time driving to Anchorage. We are staying just one night at the Alyeska resort.

We are spending the money on renting the car so we can take our time and tour around some of the area before our flight home the next night after we get off of the cruise ship.

 

Any suggestions on how to spend that time? Any must sees or dos? Has anyone done this and would be willing to share their itinerary?

So many options... Are you looking to hike? Would a day cruise that gets you up and close with a glacier interest you?

I’ve stayed at the Alyeska Lodge three times, and I love it. Do take advantage of the several hiking trails there and of course the tram. The Wildlife Conservation Center is in the area, and that’s worth a stop. Before you take off for Girdwood, there are lots of things to do in Seward when you get off the ship. It just depends on your interests.

A Kenai Fjords Cruise In Seward is very popular. I would choose one 6 or more hours for the best experience.
