JerseyBoy Posted January 18, 2006 #26 Share Posted January 18, 2006 I have flown Spirit several times out of Atlantic City, even though they may be getting new aircraft, most of their aircraft are MD-80's, which are very tight seating, an I am 5'11". Many of the airlines are flying these MD-80's they are work horses, but they are tight.
cruisenk Posted January 18, 2006 #27 Share Posted January 18, 2006 We are flying Spirit for our next cruise and it's nice to have this feedback. Now I know to be prepared for possibly long waits in Fort Lauderdale. Thanks for the info!
SWEETNLOW2005 Posted January 19, 2006 #28 Share Posted January 19, 2006 Weislaw, I am looking for tickets for Oct 2006 Detroit to San Juan . When did you purchase your tickets for your Dec flight.I am looking and the price is anywhere from $400-$500.I like the price range of $300. I am just hoping I can catch a sale from spirit airline also.
LUCY55 Posted January 19, 2006 #29 Share Posted January 19, 2006 One thing to think about--They don't have reciprocity arrangements with other airlines. We had an American flight cancelled on the day of the cruise--we really had to hustle-but were able to run to a United flight. If there is only one Spirit flight a day I would hesitate to take them.
