Opinions on Spirit Air

I have flown Spirit several times out of Atlantic City, even though they may be getting new aircraft, most of their aircraft are MD-80's, which are very tight seating, an I am 5'11". Many of the airlines are flying these MD-80's they are work horses, but they are tight.

One thing to think about--They don't have reciprocity arrangements with other airlines. We had an American flight cancelled on the day of the cruise--we really had to hustle-but were able to run to a United flight. If there is only one Spirit flight a day I would hesitate to take them.
