Harbour Lights from a Ship Excursion - can you stay longer?

Princess has a 3 1/2 hour tour in Barbados called: CARLISLE BAY BEACH, SWIM & SCENIC DRIVE. It includes transport to & from Harbour Lights beach club, chair & shared umbrella, and a drink. It's priced very close to what we would spend if we did it on our own.

 

Does anyone know if we decide to stay longer than the allotted time, will we allowed to continue using the chairs and umbrella provided? (I know we'd be on our own to pay for a taxi back to the ship).

On Reflections in Dec.  Wondering the same thing for Haror Lights?  Can you stay longer than what the cruise line offers?

I contacted Harbor Lights and they said that with the cruise line bookings you have to give up your chair and umbrella at the end of the time frame of the excursion.

Cindy (canadarocks), we took this excursion last year.  It was OK but we won't be taking it again this year ... nor will we be going back to Harbor Lights on our own.

It was not as nice of a beach area as we had expected, the uncomfortable beach chairs were really close together, didn't care for the  bar area, restrooms weren't convenient, etc.

Nothing major ... just lots of little things ....

It certainly was NOT a horrible place and many seemed to have a wonderful time.

Good to know, thanks. I've booked the afternoon ship excursion. Can't beat the price and timeframe, and I'm mainly going to try the Flying Fish!

It's a 15-20 minute walk from the cruiseport or a $5 taxi.  Lots of chairs, restaurants, bars, changing areas, etc,  $20 US for 2 chairs for as long as you want.  No need to pay the higher costs for the ship excursions, and you can get there far quicker that waiting for the cruise tour to get organized.
