Cabin choice on SS Antoinette

I'm planning on a Rhine river cruise on Uniworld's Antoinette next year. It will be my first river cruise--my first cruise anywhere, actually--and I was hoping for some information about cabin choice. I will be getting a French balcony cabin, which is on the middle, La Duchesse, deck. I was told that the cabins at each end are noisier, so I will avoid those, but of those toward the middle, is there any difference? Any recommendations would be most welcome!

No real difference. They are all the same size. Bathroom will either be closer to the door, or closer to the French Balcony (they alternate). Decor may vary from room to room.

The Antoinette is a great ship. You will enjoy her a lot. We sailed on her in March, 2017.

Have a great trip!

Cabins are great. However, on our last cruise we were 2nd cabin from the back of the boat. It was noisy. You could definitely be kept awake or be awakened early by the engines. They were loud. Otherwise, no complaint whatsoever.

We did the Castles Along the Rhine cruise last summer on the Antoinette. Our room was French Balcony on the Duchesse Deck - approx in the middle. It was very quiet - and surprisingly no noise from the cabin above us, either. Hope you enjoy the cruise as much as we did!

Near the front. Category 3 for value. Also one of the first to sell out!

On a river cruise. You literally change, shower and sleep in the room. Most of time you’re on tour, on the roof or in the lounge... enjoying the bar.
