We will be cruising in July and stopping in Ajaccio. What are your favorite things to do? We are looking at possible excursions (through MSC) to the Tortoise Protection Center or an excursion that includes visiting a winery, oils distillery and honeybee farm. However, we are willing to wander outside the cruise ship excursions if we get any good recommendations! It looks like we will be in port from 12:00pm - 7:00pm. Thanks for any input and suggestions!

In Ajaccio many sights and museums concentrate on Napoleon. Personaly I found the hous/Museum where he was Born less fascinating but it draws many visitors.

If you are interested in art I higly recommend the Musee Fesch. If I remember correctly it is even free of charge. Masterpieces include Tizian and many more.
