bellemere Posted June 12, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 12, 2018 I see that Cunard does not offer an excursion to see Southampton. Therefore, can you walk to the Sea City Museum from Queen Mary 2? Has anyone done a private walking tour of the Titanic Trail or Southampton? If so, who did you use? Thank you for your help.
TheOldBear Posted June 12, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 12, 2018 You may want to look for suggestions in the Ports of Call forum for the British Isles https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=233 There should be several posts by 'John Bull' describing some of the DIY tour options around Southampton We took the ships excursion to Winchester, but I seem to recall that there was an option of an escorted tour offered on board - listed in the newsletter the day before arriving at Southampton. Canuker Posted June 12, 2018 #3 Share Posted June 12, 2018 Belemere: Answer to question 1: Yes. Allow about 30 minutes. Walk north to the dock gates (assuming you are at the usual Cunard terminal). Turn west, then north (after about 5 minutes) at the Town Quay, along High Street. Keep on going north through the shopping area until you see the clock tower of City Hall. That's where the museum is located. It's an interesting walk, too, if you are interested in history and/or shopping. Question 2: Take a look here
