price drop

Recommended Posts

Hi, Have just joined CC so a bit late on this thread. We booked early in year on Tui Discovery with Iglu Cruises only to discover that our cabin price had dropped by about £500. We contacted Iglu and although we lost our deposit they gave us the new price for our cabin and an extra discount on top which worked out cheaper then Tui, so win win situation. The negotiations we had with Iglu where so good we upgraded to a Mini Suite for just a few £ more. We have used Iglu a few times now and always found them very good.:)

Only recently researched cruises for end of this year and in the time the price dropped the cabin improved and with AI/tips inc no brainer. Hard to find a 2 wk winter sun holiday for the price (and no under 16's). The only HUGE downside 14 days of eating and drinking as still haven't regained pre-cruise weight of 2 yrs ago! when rang to select cabin expected a small choice..nope masses.... (Celebration 7/12/18) Did check other companies but the small print on drinks tips/compulsory daily charges made it impossible to work out the true cost. Full marks to TUI/Marella for understanding the British psyche. Doubt ever book really far in advance as you never know what can happen unless precious about cabin and those in short supply are out of my pocket.

I hear this from the wife all the time, she’s an avid online shopper, does it for the whole family and gets angry when prices drop below what she paid.

My response is always, if you were happy with the price you paid, don’t go back to look again

Only saw as was checking the itinerary and am still happy as might be a 'lesser' cabin deck/area left. Plus if the hard promos are as the ship isnt fully booked more the better might get a sun lounger lol.

No problem,,,

All you have to do is get up at 5am ;p
