B35 Posted June 21, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 21, 2018 Does anyone know if a 5month old can travel? On the Cruise Critic baby age page, it says they can https://www.cruisecritic.co.uk/articles.cfm?ID=1782 But Thomsons website says the infant must be over 6 months? If not then it's Center Parcs, lol. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
Kamloops50 Posted June 21, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 21, 2018 I don't think kids under the age of one should cruise.
B35 Posted June 21, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted June 21, 2018 I don't think kids under the age of one should cruise. Why? After being on around 20 cruises (with no baby) I don't see much of a problem with one. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
Rare Cloudyrain Posted June 21, 2018 #4 Share Posted June 21, 2018 6 months with Thomson I believe: 1 for transatlantic I think. I don’t see a problem with under 1s going. The younger they are the less hassle they are!
Kamloops50 Posted June 21, 2018 #5 Share Posted June 21, 2018 Depends on the baby. Our son was hyperactive at one . He was had to travel with even in our car. Would of hated to be on a ship with him. Out daughter would of been fine at six months.
robanddiane Posted June 21, 2018 #6 Share Posted June 21, 2018 It was 6 months with P&O as we found out when daughter fell pregnant. Full refund for the ones on her booking and our deposit accepted off another cruise.

I'd have more reservations if she was toddling around. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk
Vitalsign Posted June 21, 2018 #8 Share Posted June 21, 2018 I agree - very young toddlers are hard to watch and I wouldn't feel I could relax at all unless I had an army of relatives with me to help amuse and keep him/her out of trouble - but a small baby in a pram all the time would be a doddle by comparison As long as the child is kept hydrated and out of the sun which I'm sure B35 is well aware of it'd be fine Maybe you'll have to delay your cruise by a month
qm2lover Posted June 22, 2018 #9 Share Posted June 22, 2018 6 months to cruise. But if there are 3 consecutive sea days then this goes up to 1 year. Think it is to do with pediatric care available whist at sea.
jake 26 Posted June 22, 2018 #10 Share Posted June 22, 2018 With respect I wouldn't like to have a cabin adjacent to a very young baby. Cabin walls can be rather thin and babies naturally wake and are voluble at all hours no matter how attentive the parents are, as we probably all know. The only problem I’ve ever had on a cruise from cabin neighbours was a group of 4 young adults who got drunk and shouted and banged their doors and sang loudly until 4am: when I have stayed in family sections I’ve always found it quiet :)
