Wildlife tours - Ketchikan or Juneau?

Which is better for non-whale tours? We would like the chance to see moose, bear, wolves, etc. Skagway is already booked, can anyone share good experiences at these ports so I know the best place to look?

 

No, we are not the people below. :')

Denali offers your best opportunity for your list. But if you are only looking from your 2 listed ports, you have darn close to zero chances of seeing wolves and moose.

 

For bears- depends WHEN you are going? And if going this season- you are going to run into huge problems trying to arrange tours at this late date. Both Juneau and Ketchikan offer bear tours, Ketchikan is going to be mostly blacks and Juneau will be browns with fly in tours. Both have the "chance" of seeing bears depending on you being in the right place at the right time.

 

Timing is everything, so factor that first in planning.
