Gate 1 Danube on Monarch Princess July 24, 2018

Hi,

My DH Rick and our dear friends Deb and Don are excited to be taking our first river cruise. Anyone else on this cruise? Any past Gate 1 cruisers have suggestions on things to do in ports on free time? We are going Vilsholfen to Budapest.

 

My one concern is I've started having knee problems and I'm a bit worried about the amount of walking/step climbing. Any thoughts?

We did Gate 1 going the other directions but I do have a suggestion for Vilshofen. We had the most amazing meal at Gasthof Wolfersetter Bräusyübe right in the historic downtown. Highly recommend it!
