Up on White Pass, how to get down

None of the excursions on our cruise ship really stand out as anything I'm dieing to do. I'd like to go up on the White Pass, but what are the options on coming down? I don't want to do the bike since I hear it's scary. I don't want to just take a bus down. There is the heli/hike which sounds super cool, but I don't think I can do a 5 mile hike. Are there other ways to get down that are fun?

You can return via the train, or bus, that's about it.

You might think about renting a car. Go to places like Carcroos, worlds smallest desert, or Emerald Lake. Not to mention you might even see a bear or two. Tim
