Miami port

tray

Recommended Posts

In August my sister and I stayed at the Marriott Biscayne Bay in Miami. We had the cruise package. We got a drink in the evening from the bar or restaurant. A room for the night with a view of the port. Breakfast buffet and a ride to the ship the next morning.

It was great. Woke up early and saw the Jewel sail into the port.

I just checked the Marriot and they are all booked for our cruise in March.

Any other suggestions as to where to stay the night before we sail out of Miami?

We will be flying into Ft. Lauderdale but prefer to say close to the port.

Thanks.

We are staying one night in Miami after our cruise in a few weeks. Last night on Priceline.com we selected the 'downtown Miami' area and got a 4 start hotel for our bid of $113. The hotel turned out to be the Miami Hyatt Regency. We are very happy because we will be saving more than $200 over the Hyatt's own rate posted on their website.

Of course, you have no guarantee that you would be selected by the same hotel that we were. Might be worth looking into...

How does Priceline work? Once you submit your bid - can you not decline what is offerred to you?

I sounds like you got a great deal. When we depart from the ship our plane will not leave until 9PM that night. I was considering getting a room just to hang out at the pool, etc. I really do not want to spend hours at the airport.

That would be great if I could find a good deal at a nice hotel to kill eight hours or so until we go to the airport.

Thanks.

No you cannot decline what is offered to you once your bid is accepted. All sales are final!

Two excellent web sites that tell you how to play the Priceline game are Betterbidding.com and Biddingfortravel.com.

If you read those two sites completely you'll be a Priceline Pro in no time. ;)
