Day 0 (Friday, 7/20)

 

We left the house around 2:30 pm and hit the gas station to fuel up and grab snacks and drinks. By about 4:30 or so, we'd made it through Dallas rush hour traffic (which I swear starts at noon on Fridays:')) and were boogying on down the road. We stopped at Sam's Original in Fairfield for dinner around 6:30 or so and by 10:30 that night, we were unloading and getting settled in at the Hyatt in Clear Lake, just a couple miles away from the Johnson Space Center in Houston (which is honestly probably our favorite hotel ever. They are awesome there. <3)

 

Day 1

 

The day started with a light breakfast in the executive penthouse suite on the 14th floor because one of the hotel managers

Gah.

 

I hit the "Submit reply" button too danged soon and spent an hour editing the post only to have a message pop up telling me I was a bad, bad girl and I wasn't allowed to edit it because more than 30 min had passed since I originally posted it. Boo.:eek::loudcry:

 

Oh well. I'll fix it and add more in the morning.
