konkordkruisers Posted August 6, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 6, 2018 We leave in a week for our Western Caribbean cruise on RCI. We have almost all our excursions planned...but do to all of the reports of stinky sea grass, we are trying to find something to do in Costa Maya. Does anyone know if Pleasure Beach is affected? Also...has anyone done this excursion? I need to book soon, so quick answers would be greatly appreciated!!

I have no experience of this tour but was interested as I have never heard of “Pleasure Beach”, Costa Maya! Presumably a beach named by the cruise lines. One video has a large palapa bar that someone may recognize. If you google Pleasure Beach Costa Maya there are several you tube videos of presumably the same excursion. I didn’t see any landmarks that I recognized but it seems to at least return along the the bumpy ocean road where all beaches were beginning to be affected by seaweed when we were there in February. It seems to have got progressively worse this year.
konkordkruisers Posted August 6, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted August 6, 2018 Decided to do the Chacchoben Extreme Tour with Native Choice. Got great reviews, was reasonably priced and swimming is at the Bacalar Lagoon Resort which does not seem to be affected by the seaweed.
