Sparetiming Posted August 8, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 8, 2018 Hi everyone, we have never sailed to Coco Cay before so I just wanted to know if we should bring snorkeling equipment or the snorkeling not worth it. Hate to drag a bunch of stuff off the boat and don't need it. If you buy deluxe beverage package can you get bottled water to take on island or do they provide it there? One more question please, are there towels on the island or do we take them off the boat that morning?
NanciRDH Posted August 9, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 9, 2018 We had fun snorkelling, dragged all our stuff, but you will be required to rent the safety vest. The cost for that is minimal. You'll need to bring towels from the ship, sign out a few the day before to save time. There's several bars as well as guys in golf carts selling drinks, I'm sure water bottles are available at any of those venues.
cb at sea Posted August 9, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 9, 2018 If you have a drink package, it's honored on the island....consider the to be a "sea day"...on land! You can bring ashore whatever you want. If you have your own snorkel gear and want to bring it...that's fine. They also rent it....floats, too! Many folks will bring their own "blow up" floats so as not to pay $18+ for a raft! Yes, bring your pool towels...and take them back to the ship when you're done. Sparetiming Posted August 10, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted August 10, 2018 Thanks Nanci and CB for your prompt and helpful replies. Where do you go snorkeling? Should we head to the left or right exiting the pier?
