All day Catamaran or half Day?

We have been to St. Thomas with Princess 2 times now and Feb makes 3. We decided to take the half day offered by princess to St. John. Then I read many talking about the full day. Money isn't a factor as the full day is not that much more, so what is the real difference? We are not big drinkers and the wife will spend all her time on the beach. We have no real need to go into St. Thomas. Help us deceide if we should change to the all day they offer. Thanks!!

Their are two large differences in these excursions that come to mind. #1-The full day catamaran we went on was very large compared to the smaller one used for the half day. (think nice sized cat vs one that you sit across from each other for the half day)

#2-The full day cat included lunch.

I did the full day on Heavenly Daze two years ago. Had a great time. However, there were 10 foot swales and a couple of people spent the time with their heads in buckets. We stopped at St. John for lunch on board and snorkeling for a couple of hours. The crew was great.

Do something new and different ! Go to the St. Thomas port of call board and find info on daysails. These are all day trips on big sailboats done with private outfits. They usually take a group of 6, provide wonderful meals, all snorkling equipment, stop at uncrowded out of the way places with great snorkling, and all for around $110 a day if you pre-book with a deposit.

We did this last time, and it was our best day ever in St. Thomas. This is the one we used and we can heartily endorse them http://www.daysailfantasy.com

hope this helps.
