Venice Transfer

Hi

We are taking V830 in October and were wondering does anyone know,if Cunard run their own shuttle or do we just take the vaporetto. We were thinking of buying a tourist tickets ahead of time for the vaporetto.

I haven't been to Venice with Cunard for a few years but they did run a shuttle boat (for a fee). It left from very close to the ship down the Guidecca canal to near San Marco.

Hi yes there was a shuttle boat to St Marks Sq at a charge or we opted for the People mover just outside of the port gates think it was a couple of euros each this took you directly to the coach terminal only takes a few minutes from here you can catch a water bus believe from memory number one is very good it takes you via Rialto to St Marks Sq and if you are lucky to get a outside seat up front the views along the canal are fab

We had our hotel concierge arrange for a private boat to pick us up, and stop at the Danieli to pick a friend up then to the terminal. It was easy especially with luggage. There was plenty of help. When we got to the cruise terminal the QV was not in sight. Apparently due to weather it could not enter Venice, so we were bused to Trieste. We were suppose to board and use the ship as a base for travel the next day to Murano, but we got to see Trieste instead.

Last year they did a shuttle boat. You could either get a return for either day, or an unlimited ticket that covered both days. I can't recall the exact price, but there wasn't much between the two types of ticket.
