Jacqueline Posted August 29, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 29, 2018 I am looking to book the Amazon for 2020. It looks like they are asking for a 20% deposit, but that the cancellation fee is just 200 euro 210 days out. I deal with the German office and am in NY which is not ideal. They directed me to read the terms and conditions. I guess that they refund the difference ?
English Voyager Posted August 29, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 29, 2018 On the one occasion I had to cancel a reservation, it was more than 210 days before the start of the cruise so I paid a cancellation fee of £170 and the balance of the deposit was refunded via my TA to me. Jacqueline Posted August 29, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted August 29, 2018 Thank you very much. That is how I read the contract but wanted to be sure.
Rare Catlover54 Posted August 29, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 29, 2018 When I cancelled far out, but had other cruises lined up, they applied the balance of the refund to the next cruise. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
SohoCindy Posted August 31, 2018 #5 Share Posted August 31, 2018 You can also always call their U.S. booking office with questions: 1877-445-7447
Jacqueline Posted August 31, 2018 Author #6 Share Posted August 31, 2018 Last year I had no luck with them... they gave me so much bad info that I can’t begin to say,,, Things like excursions in Antartica had to be paid for and were not included in the cruise price. It got to the point where I didn’t trust them and called Germany,,,,
