Chankanaab on busy port day?

We will be in Cozumel on a busy port day with over 14,000 other cruise ship passengers. We are going to Chankanaab with three adults and three kiddos (one on one defense :)).

Has anyone been there on a busy day? How crazy does it get? I have one kid booked for the dolphin and manatee encounters and another who wants to snorkel in the lagoon. The third is under two and will probably end up in the pool area with Nana.

Any suggestions or tips?

The $20 per adult admission keeps the crowds down at Chank except for the cruise excursions to swim with the dolphins. You should be fine - good facilities, small pool, nice beach and separate snorkel area. Your kids will like to see the sea lion shows, trails, etc.

You should be fine with 14,000 + / -. That is fairly common for Cozumel. There are several days in the coming winter season with 20-25,000+. Also, they schedule your times for many of the activities there so you shouldn’t have a lot of long waits for the activity.
