Symphony early flight home from Miami question

Will you make it?  Probably.  It's not ideal.  If you have other, slightly later options or you are more risk tolerant than normal, then go for it.  You would do self-disembark at PortMiami around 6:30, realistically be at FLL airport well before 8AM.  Which is WAY more than enough time to make the flight.

 

Generally speaking, this is totally doable.  Just with self-disembark, line up a tad early, and hop in a cab right away and head to the airport.

 

I live further than the airport and I've never been home later than 8AM from PortMiami regardless of the ship.  One time I95 was shut down for an accident and we still got home before 8AM.  If you make an effort to do it, this is a VERY doable time and should be easy to make.

 

There just isn't room for major delays.  But that's kind of life, right?  If you miss the flight due to a major delay (which is RARE), then you walk up to the counter and make arrangements for another flight.  But under normal circumstances, it's totally doable and would be really easy to make this flight with hours to spare.

I just was on a ship at Port Everglades that was having some difficulty getting cleared. And LOTS of people in the self-departure line. Some had a similar flight you are describing and they were freaking.

Ship didn't get cleared till 8am.

Myself I would not risk it.
