Availability of Rum in Cozumel

Do any of you locals know if Mount Gay Sugar Cane Rum is available for purchase in Cozumel? A friend got some but we aren't sure on what island it was purchased but it was yum! Hope you guys can help...

Mount Gay rum is from Barbados, but you can probably purchase in most places.

Not sure where you can find the best price in Cozumel. What other islands would you visit?

Almost guarantee you could get it at the pier in puerta Maya when u dock. As you walk through the duty free tax free shop there is liquor galore!

If you have the time it's worth checking the 'local' liquor store on 30 - it's called Covi (pronounced 'cobby') and I have found Kahlua and Mezcal to be almost half the price of some of the downtown "tax free" shops there.

 

My favourite is 7 year old Havana Club Cuban Rum... only $12 a bottle...
