mackjack9139 Posted September 26, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 26, 2018 We are debating between the city view or intracoastal view...both rooms have 2 queen beds and 1 king. The difference is 50 USD per night and we are staying three nights. Has anyone been in these rooms? Is the water view worth the upcharge? Thanks! Rare VMax1700 Posted September 26, 2018 #2 Share Posted September 26, 2018 Water view rooms are nice as you can sit and watch the bridge open to let the yachts through and watch the boats heading up and down the water. But, you are going on a cruise, yes? How much water do you need? City view rooms are ok, looking out over road, but if your room is near the front of the building (and this applies to both city view and water view) you can get noise from traffic going over the bridge. It can be quite noticeable at night. You are better off with a water view room or city view room at the rear of the building. Better for sleep! coops Posted September 26, 2018 #3 Share Posted September 26, 2018 I have been both , the city room was fine and no noise for us from street traffic. But the water view on the back of hotel by the bridge was noisy. Our friends had a waterview from the side and no issues.
mackjack9139 Posted September 27, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted September 27, 2018 Thanks! I called them and the nice person explained that the city view rooms have the balcony door from one of the bedrooms. The water view rooms have the balcony off the main living room area, which makes the whole main room feel bigger, so we are going for that.
