iwannacruz Posted September 30, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 30, 2018 We will be on the Viking Var Dec 14-21. We are looking at some of the optional tours (already signed up for all the included tours). Do we need to book them now or can we wait until we get on the ship? Do optional tours ever get booked up completely or is there usually room no matter what? Also if we book an optional tour and we decide not to go, do we get our money back? Rare franski Posted September 30, 2018 #2 Share Posted September 30, 2018 Hi - Yes, sometimes the optional tours do get booked up. But, rarely are they completely booked up before you board. It is usually closer to the date of the tour - especially if tour has been discussed and the cruise director makes the tour sound so inviting that everyone wants to go!! Often, however, there are no limits to the number of people that can take the tour. Depends on the tour... If it involves transportation by bus - the numbers may be limited to how many buses are booked. One thing that isn't often discussed is that sometimes tours are cancelled due to lack of interest. I have seen that happen a couple of times. As far as your money back, depends on whether you change your mind - or if the tour is cancelled. If you change your mind - the tour is usually non-refundable. If they cancel, your money is refunded. Hope that helps. Fran
