SquatsandChampagne Posted October 8, 2018 #1 Share Posted October 8, 2018 Just curious if anyone that has had a stop in Livorno with Viking if they were docked in the industrial area, where you need to take a shuttle into town, Or at the other dock where you can walk into town. I know Viking is smaller than the big cruise lines just curious if anyone knows if they are able to dock in the port closer to town (we are the only ship in that day) Cheers. In January, we docked in the industrial area. We used the shuttle into Livorno and then a cab to the train station to get to Florence. Returning to Livorno that evening we shared a 7 seater cab directly back to the ship. We just told the driver the name of the ship. It was a flat fee of 25€ back to the ship. The same cabs that are waiting at the shuttle stop will also quote you a flat fee for the day to Florence or the surrounding area. It was a reasonable price. Rare Peregrina651 Posted October 18, 2018 #3 Share Posted October 18, 2018 Hmm. The post count is off on this thread/topic. But a new post will fix that problem.
Alan2504 Posted October 18, 2018 #4 Share Posted October 18, 2018 Alternatively, hire a car, Hertz will delivery it quayside and allow you drop it off quayside...….extremely easy!
