Embarktation/Disembarkation- latest/earliest times

My husband and I are trying to book flights for our cruise that is in less than two weeks- yikes! It is a last minute trip. If we are unable to fly the day before- what is the latest that we can arrive on the day of departure if our ship departs at 5pm. What is the earliest disembarkation time when we get back- what would be a reasonable time to fly back if our ship gets back at 7am. We are looking at an 11am flight- is that too early??

You might want to repost because we have no idea where you are flying from or to. But regardless at this time of the year you should try everything you can to either fly in the night before or get the first flight out in the morning. A direct flight would be best. For safety sake try to arrive in your embarcation city as early as possible. Remember you must check in at least an hour before sailing.

As far as disembarcation is concerned if you are flying out of FLL, MIA or SJU your safest bet would be a flight after noon to one p.m. Just because a ship is supposed to dock at 7:30 that does not mean you can disembark then.

Once again please post some specifics so your fellow posters can give you better parameters.

Enjoy your cruise - we wish we were sailing with you, wherever you are going!

You must be on that ship NO LATER than 4:30 and do NOT book anything returning before Noon.

As has been said day before is way better.

as for return I have been on ships that docked at 6:30 a.m. and not one person got off before noon due to Customs and immigration, they did a drug search and found things and held the ship till they had everyone they wanted in custody. So you just do not know.
