PigsCanFly Posted October 23, 2018 #1 Share Posted October 23, 2018 We have an upcoming cruise that does not include prepaid gratuities. I am guessing they forgot to ask me wether we wanted it or not since we always choose to prepay. Can it be added online? If so, how? Or do I need to call & listen to the Royal hold advertisements on hold for another hour or more?
Florida 1 Posted October 26, 2018 #2 Share Posted October 26, 2018 You should be able to do this in your cruise planner area if I'm not mistaken. I tend to let it be deducted from any onboard credit if I didn't have it prepaid by my TA.

I don't see any reference to prepaid gratuties in cruise planner, but I was on the phone with Casino Royale folks last week re: a different cruise with an issue and when they offered to adress any other concerns, I had them add the prepaid Gratuties for the one that was missing them. I would think that RCI would provide easy access to anything that involves us giving them more money.😉 Edited October 27, 2018 by PigsCanFly
Florida 1 Posted October 28, 2018 #4 Share Posted October 28, 2018 After posting, I realized that the option to pay them was either on Carnival or NCL that I was on earlier this year. Sorry for the confusion.

It could be a regular Vacation Planner rep. a Casino Royale rep or a Crown & Anchor rep if you are enrolled. All they will need is your booking number to locate the reservation and then can easily add the prepaid grats. If you booked through a TA, your TA can easily handle the prepaid grats through Cruising Power. I agree that it would be nice if you could do it yourself through the Cruise Planner but with Royal's IT group, its one step at a time.
