Are Breakaway Muster drills inside? Other general muster questions.

Are the Breakaway muster drills inside?  We are going with my older MIL. She has an ocean view on Deck 5 and we have a balcony on Deck 14.  If the drill is inside, we would be OK dropping her off at her location and then coming back to her when it’s done.  If it’s OUTSIDE with people lining up, I’d rather my DH stay with her.  Do you think they’d let him check in at ours and then actually attend with her?  She’s not disabled in any way, but sometimes they squish you in like sardines when they are actually at the lifeboat location so I’d like my DH to be with her.

Thanks!

I was on the BA November of last year & ours was inside. I do believe (could be wrong & if so I'm sure someone will correct me) they do them inside for all muster stations now. The last few cruises I have been on we had ours inside, maybe casino, a dining room, etc. you get the idea. Have a great trip!!!!

they will be in a restaurant or theater, so she won't be squished - plan to get MIL to her station early, you will have MULTIPLE crew stop you if you leave muster after check in has started. You can't have food, drinks or cell phones and the elevators will be crowded! Hopefully MIL can find a comfy spot to wait till you get back to her

Thanks for the responses.  I thought NCL had moved them inside but the last cruise I was on was outside.   But it’s just occurred to me the last trip was with my niece on Disney.  So we should be good.

Looking forward to the cruise but but we always do the smaller ships so Breakaway will be an adventure, I’m sure!

the last time I can remember being outside on NCL was 2014 - we were at the same station as the most expensive cabins (Sun pre "Edge enhancements"), lined up by lifeboat #1,  a member of CD staff was muster captain. He was HILARIOUS and I felt like he would have kept us safe if anything happened. when the drill was supposed to start he called out missing cabin #'s 11001, 11002 etc - of course they aren't here, they are really going to like my 4am make up drill
