Dinner with sunset view?

Although Punto de Vista (the restaurant at Hotel Milano) has great food, you won't get much of a sunset view at all. It's still on a lower elevation than the rest of the buildings to the west of it so there's no line of sight to the sunset. You'll have a partial view of the bay/docks, tough. I'm afraid that Old San Juan is not really "dinner with sunset view" friendly.

Sting-pr...any other recs up in Condado or maybe Isla Verde?

mchelle77, these will require a taxi ride. Rates are probably metered to these places from the cruise pier but pre-hurricane from Condado to the cruise piers was between $12-$15 one way.

There are a lot of great restaurants in the Isla Verde/Condado, Old San Juan area that can easily be recommended. But for viewing the sunset, honestly, none come to mind. Here's the reason: Due to PR's location, the sun sets west to a bit south west. The beach/coast area that spans from Isla Verde beach besides the airport to El Morro fort curves north west. This means that almost everything is facing north, north-east, making a sunset view a bit difficult.

I got the package from island marketing and started at the beach then went up onto their roof top. I enjoyed my stay on their roof top right on the beach of Isla verde:)
