NEWLKAT Posted November 10, 2018 #1 Share Posted November 10, 2018 (edited) I am currently booked on the Golden on a Northbound Alaska cruise next summer, I am in Baja B519 but can get a room on Aloha any thoughts or opinion on our current room or why the Aloha deck is better, I know the Caribe deck balconies are bigger but they cost more? racj846 Posted November 10, 2018 #2 Share Posted November 10, 2018 Be aware of what is above you on Lido deck. If it is an uncarpeted area such as pool side it can be noisy when the loungers, etc are moved.
DrivesLikeMario Posted November 10, 2018 #3 Share Posted November 10, 2018 Cat. BD on the Caribe Deck. My all-time favorite location. Balconies are SO much better than Baja and Aloha Decks.
Thrak Posted November 10, 2018 #4 Share Posted November 10, 2018 (edited) I agree that Caribe deck rocks but you asked about Baja vs Aloha. Grab Baja as there are cabins above and below. With Aloha you risk noise from Lido deck above you. Don't get me wrong. I have had a fantastic cruise in an Aloha cabin that was under the pool area. I had zero issues with noise from chair scraping, MUTS, etc. However, you can't count on that. Take the Baja cabin and have a wonderful cruise. OR_Cowboy_1952 Posted November 10, 2018 #5 Share Posted November 10, 2018 Stick with the Baja deck, you cabin is almost midship. You’ll have very little pitch (rocking bow to aft). You are still high on the ship and would only gain about 8 feet.
