Looking for advice regarding getting from Tianjin port to Beijing and back by taxi & bullet train.  Is it easy to do on our own?  Staying over in hotel for 1/2 nights.

Also any recommendations for tour companies in Beijing - would like to visit the Great Wall, Forbidden City, Summer Palace and Temple of Heaven

very  easy   to   use   the  bullet  train  (we use  China diy  travel  for  train  ticket  excellent   service  )   but   a   taxi   to   Tianjin  railway  station   maybe   expensive    the  cheapest   is  the   group  bus   that   stop   at  different  hotel

They do have the hop on/hop off bus in Beijing.  You are on your own for touring the sites but they will get you there.  They start from Tiananmen Square.

Wouldn´t do it on your own...
We used Chinahighlights.com and they were examplary. Highly recommend them!

Beijing to the Great Wall is a 2 hour drive one-way depending on what part you visit; plan accordingly if it's on your bucket list.
