Barndoor54 Posted November 23, 2018 #1 Share Posted November 23, 2018 Is it worth paying the extra for an inside cabin on decks 8/9 compared to decks 4/5? Just thinking of noise from above.
Rare dronnygirl Posted November 23, 2018 #2 Share Posted November 23, 2018 Not stayed in an inside cabin but looking at the plans they all look okay except for deck 5 forward as that's under the Broadway lounge. Deck 5 itself seemed very quiet, the cabins behind reception would be good. The cinema is above these but we never saw anyone in. I had a quick peek in the deck 5 cabins and they all looked nice. davecttr Posted November 23, 2018 #3 Share Posted November 23, 2018 Deck 5 is fine and having the theatre above you in forward cabins will only concern you if you are in bed before the last show finishes. I have yet to see anyone complain about noise from the theatre. Cabins far forward will of course hear the bow thrusters and or anchor when enteringg port. consider it a free alarm call. edinburgher Posted December 17, 2018 #4 Share Posted December 17, 2018 May be too late but might help others decide. Just off a few days ago. We were in an inside on Deck 8 mid-fwd section closer to mid. Absolutely no noise whatsoever. Not even from the corridor. Very peaceful. We would happily book that cabin location again should we book Explorer in the future.
