Breakaway’s ocean blue

Is ocean blue a to do, or skip it?  We are from south Louisiana where seafood is plentiful and very tasty.  Just need some feedback to try it or eat somewhere else.  Thanks

In my opinion, definitely not a must do, especially if you are from the coast.   I would sample other restaurants instead.

I tried Ocean Blue on the Getaway, and it was the only disappointment I had on the cruise. The Oysters were tasteless and the Dover Sole had such a strong sauce that I couldn't taste the fish.  The lemon tart was also pretty tasteless, and the tart shell was so tough I couldn't cut it with a fork (or chew it).

About to go on the Breakaway.  I think that Ocean Blue is not part of the Specialty Restaurant, how much do you pay to go there?   Is all the prices on the a la carte menu what you pay or do you get any stipend?

$10 per person upcharge. $12 with service charge.

We ate at Ocean Blue in November . We had great service . I had the surf and turf which was very enjoyable . Maybe the lobster tail wasn't Maine quality but still tasty . Food is very subjective . I did not try the oysters so I can't comment there . We had a party of 6 and enjoyed our time there.

Meaning if you pick as part of your Specialty Restaurant Package, you will be billed the $10 per person.

Thanks for the replies. I thought i had read before it was not that great. Even in Carney’s the oysters left a lot to be desired.
