New to Costa Questions???

Hi,

Can anyone tell me the following.

Magica or Medeterrina(sp)

Size of large balcony cabin and balcony?

Regular balcony cabin size and size of balcony?

Showers only in balcony rooms?

How is storage space in cabins?

Has anyone asked their room steward to empty the fridge so you can put your own stuff in there???

Read lots of complaints (I know its subjective and I don't pay much attention to those anyone can have a good or bad time, thier choice) but anyone know what is on the room service menu and why the complainers say it is so limited?

TV channels available, one post said satelite and could get all major networks and prime time shows (we are kind of news geeks) and one post said one CNN channel avail and only ship board channels? Any pay per view movie channels (love to catch up on "chick" movies while my husband is at the casino)?

Anyone know if you can get a table for 2 in the dining room?

Anyone know if there is a day pass for the sauna, steam rooms etc in the spa and the cost?

Anyone know if there is a shore excurision in Casa De Campo that takes you to a resort there?

Any cabins or particular floors we should avoid???

At this point looking to leave in 3 weeks we may not have a lot of choice, but would like to know in case.

Anyone a pier upgrade?? How was the cost??

Thanks so much for all the answers, looking to book a cruise leaving soon, so any help is appreciated.

to answer some of your questions.. not sure on size of balc. cabins , we had a Grand Suite which had immense storage and great space.. yes, the room steward will empty your frdige.. there are excursions to casa de campo, one whichis excellent is the electric bike tour, after the shuttle will drop you off at their beach for a swim,, plenty of chaises and umbrellas, etc. also do not miss the nite excursion to casa d campo for the show, in the amphitheater under the stars,, its lovely and quite an experience.. if you snorkel take a cab to coki beach in st. thomas.. or the ferry to st. John and go to trunk bay to snorkel.. but if you do coki in the morning you will still have time to shop..yes, i saw tables for two.. see the maitre d for that if you have not already requested it..steam room and sauna in the gym are not an extra cost.. in a suite you can get anything on the dining room menu for room service.. in regular cabins there are many choices of sandwiches, salads, etc.. you might be able to get a pierside upgrade if ship is not sold out.. ask when you check in for the pierside coordinator
