2nd time-something new?

Our family was at this port last year. Enjoyed the pool and water slides. Wondering if there is more to this port?

Bummed our son was too young(9)to zip line at the pool. Is there good zip lining near? What would you recommend for a family of 3?

If your family is reasonably active, take a look at the 27 Waterfalls Excursion (Some only do 12 of the Falls). We used Marysol Tours and enjoyed it. There is another private company that also gets good reviews and some of the cruise lines now offer a similar, but shorter tour. Just search 27 Waterfalls Dominican Republic and you should find several options.

We’ve actually looked at that very excursion. Wondering how our 9 year old would do? We’ve been to the blue hole which is similar. Also thought about zip line which we’ve never done.

It depends on how adventurous your 9 yo is. There were 2 children in the group when we went. One was a 6-7 year old boy who was fearless and jumped off everything in site and his sister who was probably 9-10 who seemed terrified and bypassed most of the jumps.

 

I have been zip lining, but not in the DR. It was fun, but can be done in many places while the 27 Waterfalls is unique to this port. I would suggest looking at some videos online with your family that other people have posted of the tour, then deciding if it looks like something you all want to do.
