We will be in Panama City on New Year's day. It just occurred to me that some things might be closed that day. I checked Miraflores Locks and Auga Clara locks visitor center on the web and it looks like they are open Jan 1. Is that correct? What should we expect for other things (restaurants, stores, etc.) on Jan 1?

Our ship is docked in Balboa all day after we go through the canal so we could see some spots then if they are closed on Jan 1.
