Fishing charter in Homer, Alaska

We are booked on a 14 day cruise on HAL in June. My hubby has fished in Ketichikan and in Seward.  He wants to find a charter in Homer.  We are scheduled to be in port from 8am - 6pm.

Any recommendations are welcome as we do research to try and find a charter.  Thanks so much!

With your time schedule I doubt you will be able to book a full day charter. There are some half day charters  with Rainbow charters being one of them. Have used them numerous times. It is basically a walk on boat with about 20 people on board fishing. They basically go out to a "chicken hole" and sit. Don't expect to catch a record size halibut but you can never tell! Make your res. early as they tend to book up fast ,especially the weekends. Been fishing up there for 20+ years and it seems like halibut is getting harder to find so don't get your hopes too high. Hope this helps. Good luck fishing!
