Safe to go for a jog?

My husband and I would like to go for a jog together straight from the port. Do you feel the area is safe for that? Any areas to avoid? Thanks!

I've been wondering the same thing.  We are going to the ABC Islands and St Martin in June.  I know everyone else in my family will think I am crazy.   I was hoping on one(or more) of the islands I would be able to get out early and go for a quick run around the port area and get back in time to shower and have breakfast with everyone.

 

Not sure what time you would be running, but I would think that running just about anywhere early in the morning is fairly safe.  Usually the type of people out early are going to work and not the criminal type.  Traffic could be another issue depending on how fast people drive.  Not sure if there are sidewalks etc...

Between the crowded pedestrian sidewalks and bumper to bumper cars, I couldn’t imagine a safe place to jog by the port. As for areas to avoid, no worries, Aruba is safe.
