Mayan Ritual Experience-Celebrity Excursion

Has anyone taken the Mayan Ritual Experience (a Mayan Wellness Retreat) shore excursion through Celebrity?  I am considering it, but wonder what others' experiences have been.

I'm hoping to read some thoughts, as well. I'm having a hard time finding a consensus.

 

We have this booked in a couple of weeks. It doesn't seem very popular, but my friend told me is was wonderful.  I've never had a mud or coconut bath and a massage is always welcome.

 

Seems relaxing, at worst. I can live with that.

I think this is ran by the group that owns the port and is at one of their beach clubs.  Based on pictures it looks like a typical new-agey steam room with mud baths and massages, marketed as being Mayan.  I'm doubting Mayans did such things.

Just go to any beach club and get a massage for $20.

Skip the excursion. 

 

They do offer good massages though - and you don't need to be on an excursion. 

It is located right at the port.
