Why????????

Recommended Posts

Why do I now have to log in to browse the boards. I don't suppose it's any big deal, but I was just wondering why the change.

Longintocruise, last time I left the board, I hit "logout", so the next time I tried to get on, I had to login, too. Have never hit logout before then, but it doesn't explain why there are "guests" on the board-and how they got here if you have to log-on.

Just check the "remember me" box the next time and you won't have to log in in the future from the same computer.

I applaud the change. Previously, nonregistered users could browse, but not post. This added level of security should also prevent the harvesting of email addresses from user profiles as well.

Almitra has a point. If you clear out your internet files, including cookies, you will have to log in next time you visit. Otherwise, you will be recognized.
