Smoking areas on Majestic Princess??

We booked a balcony on the Majestic Riveria deck in the aft starboard side. Is that a smoking side?  Where are the smoking areas?  We hate smoke and I’ll need to change our rooms if it’s in or near a smoking area. ☹️

There is a lovely big smoking area outside the Hollywood Pool Club with seating and tables, on the starboard side.  Made a lovely area for smokers compared to the cramped places on other Princess ships.  There was also an area inside in the VIP gaming room on the port side, though not sure if that is still open as it was a while ago I was on the Majestic.  They are the only two places I remember.

Hi, I was on the Shanghai to Sydney cruise on Majestic last August, smoking areas were Starboard outside the Hollywood pool club, Starboard aft on Promenade deck, I personally would not book a balcony in that area for that reason.

They also opened a smoking area up halfway through the cruise, portside aft just outside the Kids club area.

No smoking in the Casino on cruises leaving and returning to Australia.

We sailed last year but I think smoking was on starboard side but aft should be ok unless you want to be aft facing the aft, which is were we always book ,we will also be on this cruise hope to meet you we are from north Queensland 1 hour north of Townsville.

We're going to be on the Riveria deck, but under the Hollywood conservatory. I assume we will be in front of the smokers (we are on the starboard side). so hopefully we will be ok. On our last Princess cruise the smokers were on the port side.

As a non-smoker, this is much ado about nothing.

The smoking areas are outside and subject to the constant ocean breezes,

both naturally occurring and the breeze generated by a moving ship @ 20kts.

Maybe it is just the sight of someone smoking that make people go apoplectic.

Hi, so glad to hear you've enjoyed this cruise before. I see you are from Kenosha. I lived in Cook County and Lake County IL for a good part of my life. right over the state line. My husband retired and we went South. Looking forward to meeting both of you. Will be in Seattle for a few days before the cruise at Marriott Waterfront.
