sillypuppy Posted January 24, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 24, 2019 On my bucket list is to dog sled while we are in Alaska in May. We can book just dog sledding at a Musher's camp (don't want to helicopter to a glacier) or we can book a Yukon Discovery full day tour which can include dog sledding. I am wanting time to spend with the dogs/puppies.......will the Yukon tour be too rushed with the dog sledding portion? I like the idea of the full day Yukon tour - sounds like we would see a lot of the country side. Please help!!
wolfie11 Posted January 25, 2019 #2 Share Posted January 25, 2019 The best dry land sled tour IMO is the one in Skagway/Dyea.
Rare Crew News Posted January 25, 2019 #3 Share Posted January 25, 2019 A tour via bus/van to the Yukon that stops at Caribou Crossing for lunch will let you play with lots of sled dogs and take a ride on dog carts (looks like a VW frame) before returning to Skagway via train will meet your wishes. Here is a link to what you experience at Caribou Crosing: http://www.rogerjett-photography.com/place/canada/yukon-territory/caribou-crossing/nggallery/page/
