Kronstadt Navel Base

Has anyone included this on their custom tour with either Denrus or Red October?

Apparantly it takes about 4 - 5 hours including tour. Was it worth the journey or would the time be better spent elsewhere in St Petersburg?

Hi

There's not alot to see in Kronstadt to warrant you spending 4 or 5 hours of your precious time there. The only highlight is the Kronstadt Museum located in the St Nicholas Church, though all the exhibits are labeled in Russian only. Other points of interest include the Peter Park with the statue of Peter the Great and the Dutch Kitchens which last year were not yet open to the public.

The ship passes very close to Kronstadt on the sailout from St Petersburg and most of the sights are visible from the ship.
