rubinstein2r Posted January 26, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 26, 2019 Babyboomer couple on NCL Transpacific May 2019. We were in Alaska about 15 years ago. Need suggestions for these two ports. We have $50pp tour credit in each port but nothin is appealing to us. Please suggest something we can do on our own or arrange at reasonable cost. We don't want anything on a boat or long hiking. We are doing sled dogs in Juneau and native village in Ketchikan. Other suggestions very welcome. Thank you.
bindy1 Posted January 26, 2019 #2 Share Posted January 26, 2019 There is the Alaska SeaLife Center in Seward. My DH and 2 college age kids enjoyed it last year and we are going to go again this year with my parents on our cruise this May. If you visit Exit Glacier while in Seward there is a hike of around a mile to get to the base of the glacier. You can see the glacier from the road but not from the visitor center. Just an fyi.....
