RoyalUp Junior Suite to Owners on Mariner 3/1/19

Recommended Posts

In case anyone wants information on Royal Up.

We booked a Junior Suite on the 3/1 sailing on the Mariner back in December. On Monday, we were offered the Royal Up. I bid on Grand and Owner's suites. The Royal Suite minimum bid was $600 pp, and that was more than I cared to spend for an upgrade on a 3 night cruise.  We didn't bid on an upgrade to our December cruise on the Allure, because we were booked in a balcony, and didn't think paying that much more for a suite and not getting the points was worth it.

On Thursday, we got the message that we had scored an upgrade to an Owner's suite. Our bid was $250 pp. As soon as that happened, we booked my daughter and grand kids into the inside cabin that is directly across the passageway. So for $1700, we got an upgrade from a Junior to an Owner's suite and an inside cabin for three more people.
