Back home in Norway ( -2 F this morning!)

I have been reading this forum for months and learned a lot from you all! So here is my experiences!

This was our second cruise - the first was three years ago with RCL and Liberty of the Seas! Our cruise on Getaway beats Liberty of the Seas!

Embarking: Arrived Port of Miami at 11- entered the ship at 11.40!!

Cabin: Mid-ship balcony deck 10 - a very good choice! Quiet, spacious, clean and fresh! Large bathroom! Loved the balcony - it felt not small at all!!

Crew: Every singel one was so friendly and delivered service at its very best!

Dining: Great food - wherever you go - everything felt and tasted fresh and delicious!

Lunch in MDR first day. Very good, but this was the only time we had lunch in MDR. This was because we tried lunch at the buffet (Garden

Cafe) the next day, and it was REALLY delicious! So there we was for lunch rest of the cruise 🙂

Breakfast in MDR was really good - but sometimes a little wait - both for table and food. Best luck if you show up early! After having breakfast four days in MDR, we went to the Garden Cafe! And here we go again 🙂 Fresh and delicious food - no wait at all at the eggstation! The eggs, bacon and hashbrowns were the same as in MDR! And as a Norwegian  I have to mention the bakery goods! Everything was so freshly baked!! We Norwegians loves bread!

We did not try dinner at the buffet.

Dinner in both Savor and Taste was good! No wait for table the first night, and 20 minutes wait the second. The atmosphere was a bit noisy both places.

We had a three meal dining package and visited Cagneys one night - we really enjoyed everything!

We visited Le Bistro two nights -just LOVED it! The atmosphere, food and service could not have been better! The Beef Tenderloin was superb! We had some Onboard credit and choose to visit Le Bistro a third night...

What we had in O'Sheeans was also very good!

Drinks: No waits anywhere! Great cocktails, and glasses of wine! We had the drinking package!

Entertainment: Loved both Burn the floor and Million Dollar Quartet!! Both times we showed up 30 min before showtime (as learned from this forum) - both times we were almost first in line...

All the  entertainment was great - Howl at the Moon, The Comedy Shows and music in Fat Cats!! Gameshows in Atrium!! Partytime in Spice H2O!!

Ports: We choosed not to do any excursions. At some ports we should have...

Roatan: Felt dirty after a rainy morning...walked around for a while, but there was notting to see at all! Wished we had booked an excursion.

Harwest Caye (Belize): Loved it! Clean and beautiful. Nice beach and nice weather 🙂

Costa Maya: Great portarea with lots of shops and restaurants! Went for a walk along the beach! Nice place!

Cozumel: Nothing to talk about - should have done an excursion...

Sundeck/sunbeds: If you avoid the pool, and choose the upper sundecks you could stay wherever you want! Lots of space and lots of sunbeds! Have to mention The Waterfront! Lovely outdoor space with bars and lots of seating!

Dissembarking: Superfast! We was off the ship and through customs in about 15 minutes ( at 9.45 am)

We never felt it crowded during the cruise! It was overcasted and windy the last seaday 😞 and most of the cruisers stayed inside - and a little too noisy reading a book in one of the bars - but then we discovered the Library!

You may have noticed - we loved everything about this cruise, and would definite choose Norwegian Cruise Line next time 🙂
