Transportation from Venice port to airport

2 questions:  Do I take the water taxis to the airport from the port terminal in Venice?  Is a 11:55AM departure time from Marco Polo airport doable?

A water taxi would be very expensive -land taxi is the best. You definitely want to get off the ship by 8:00 or so, if you do, your 12:55 flight should be doable -  if possible, I would shoot for a later one — or else spend a day or so in Venice post-cruise.

 

The ideal (if time permitted) would be the Alialaguna (Blue line) directly from cruise terminal, around Venice, across the lagoon to the airport.  14 euro,  but their 8:56 boat gets to airport at 10:40 - which might be cutting it close, as weather conditions can make them run late.
