booking RCI onboard a X cruise?

I did exactly the same thing: I booked two cabins for our next cruise on RCI's AOS- one for wife and I and the other for sister -in -law and her spouse, on board Constellation back in Dec of 2005 Each cabin got the onboard credit.

Yes, you can do this. I called and asked this week (my question was for booking an X cruise while on RCL) and getting the onboard credit. So you can do it either way. It will give you $100 onboard credit for a 7-day cruise, and $200 for a 9 or more day cruise.
