Great golf anywhere in/near Georgetown?

There are few options. The major golf courses were flooded with saltwater in the September 2004 passing of a hurricane.

Britannia at The Hyatt is a 9 hole jack Nicklaus designed course, and is open.

The Links at Safehaven is still closed according to its website. It is a 18 hole course.

Blue Tip at The Ritz Carlton is a 9 hole Greg Norman designed course. It was under construction when that hurricane flooded everything. Their website reports an April 2006 anticipated opening.

These three courses are in the Seven Mile Beach area.

The Sunrise family golf center is located in a different part of the island. It is a 9 hole par 3 course.

Thanks so much for the info. I would have thought there were a lot of 18 hole courses to chose from. Maybe golf on that stop won't work. Do you happen to know how the golf is on Roatan? I know there is nice golf on Jamaica, but we already have family plans for that port. They will be crushed if they can't get their Carribbean golf outing!

Britannia is still open at the Hyatt. http://www.grandcayman.hyatt.com/hyatt/hotels/activities/golf/index.jsp

Blue Tip, the course at the Ritz Carlton, is set to open June 1 according to their website. http://www.ritzcarlton.com/resorts/grand_cayman/golf/

The Links at Safehaven was still closed, as last I heard. Their website claims a reopening date set for "late 2005." Sounds like something needs updating... their website, or my info! ;) http://www.safehaven.ky/links.htm
