marnie2005 Posted March 4, 2019 #1 Share Posted March 4, 2019 We are interested in going to the Skywalk on our stop in June. Wondering the best way to get there, should we book a tour ahead or on the day we arrive is it possible to get a tour \ bus to the Skywalk? Thank you. Ine Posted March 4, 2019 #2 Share Posted March 4, 2019 You can prebook this panorama exclusive tour by small bus. It also goes to 2 other viewpoints. Depending how many cruiseships are in port it might sell fast. https://www.geirangerfjord.no/panorama-exclusive-bus

kitkat343 Posted March 4, 2019 #4 Share Posted March 4, 2019 This doesn't affect you, but to others planning to visit Geiranger, please note that the road to the skywalk is seasonal, and won't open until it's plowed and there's a big avalanche, usually between May 15th and June 1st. Our cruise was late May (we needed to sail Cunard since they had daycare for our two year old and this was their only cruise to Geiranger and Flam all season) and we missed the opening of the Skywalk by one day. The reason why you might want a tour like the one recommended but he previous poster is that the skywalk is so high, other posters on this forum have noted that sometimes it's above the cloud coverage and you can't see much. The other locations the bus visits are really beautiful, and a combination of sites would be great.
